ABOUT
This AAD Community Blog is for the purpose of utilizing web 2.0 tools to foster an engaged and dynamic learning community of AAD faculty, students, alumnus, professionals, and community partners. The blogs can be utilized for community forums around current issues, to communicate with each other and professional networks, to share resources, to post events and opportunities, to collaborate on projects, to archive our efforts, to demonstrate our best work, and to showcase our accomplishments.
Course, student, and faculty blogs reflect eportfolio processes, where demonstration, reflection, collaboration, and iteration are at the core of the learning and development process.
Student eportfolio blogs provide a portal for students to archive their work, to document their learning process, to demonstrate learning connections between courses and co-curricular activities, and to showcase their accomplishments.
Course blogs will enhance the blackboard course management system, allow for robust community forums, collaboration, and sharing resources through social bookmarks, syndication, diigo groups, google apps, and other free and open source tools, and extend classroom learning into the world.
Faculty eportfolios will provide a mechanism to share resources, to communicate, to showcase, and a portal for faculty professional activities.
For more information about the eportfolios at UO and in the Arts and Administration Program, view the project eportfolio at http://aaablogs.uoregon.edu/eportfolio, or email Dr. Lori Hager at lhager@uoregon.edu
